We want to meet technically-savvy “solution architect” (SA) with expertise in the cornerstones of today’s information technology to transform the performance, security and cost-effectiveness of our federal customers’ operations. Sevatec is the preeminent mid-tier agile-focused company serving the national security sector. We are seeking a Solutions Architect within our Chief Technology Officer’s Innovations Team to play an integral role in executing our strategic plan across organic growth and operational delivery.

 

You will have a technical leadership role working with Business Development and Operations developing solutions to complex government challenges through the capture and proposal development process.   The SA will evaluate customer requirements and produce innovative and winning solutions across Sevatec’s core competencies. The SA will be responsible for the technical solutions needed to win our most complex and strategic deals. As a strategic solution architect, you will be responsible for determining our customers’ needs and priorities, crafting technical solutions responsive to those needs, helping to shape customer acquisitions and position Sevatec to win.

 

You will lead the delivery of our written technical proposals and provide technical leadership throughout the capture process. We offer a fast-paced, highly-dynamic and collaborative environment in which self-motivated, strategic thought leaders earn executive recognition and rapid advancement.  

Responsibilities

Pursuit/Capture 

  • Participate in technical solution strategy throughout the Capture and Proposal lifecycle, from opportunity Qualification through Proposal submission.
  • Contribute to Sevatec’s win strategies and development of technical win themes and solution readiness plans. 
  • Engage current and prospective customers to understand critical needs, socialize and vet solutions, and advise on strategies to shape acquisitions that achieve desired results.
  • Identify and select the best technical solutions and approaches to meet anticipated or actual acquisition requirements.
  • Participate in solution design and the development of key artifacts including, but not limited to architectural models, process diagrams, concepts of operation, etc. 
  • Develop unsolicited technical recommendations, collateral and RFI/SSN responses to engage prospective customers and position Sevatec to win. 
  • Collaborate with Sevatec’s technical service areas and lines of business to identify and bring the best technical and business strategies and solutions to differentiate Sevatec.
  • Contribute to teaming strategies including identifying and vetting potential partners
  • Develop cost strategies, BOEs/BOMs, and associated rationale.

 

Proposal Leadership:

  • Ensure readiness of solution and proposal support team to prepare a compelling and compliant response to the government solicitation
  • Lead development of the Technical volumes and orals presentations for proposals
  • Coach and advise more junior solution architecture and proposal support resources
  • Engage and lead teaming partners in solutioning and working sessions
  • Partner with proposal team as the technical volume lead
  • Ensure integration of technical solution with all sections and volumes of the proposal
  • Review proposals and provide critical feedback needed to strengthen our solution and proposals
  • Author Technical volume introductions, key sections and orals slides including developing compelling graphics

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience - Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field (preferred)
  • 10 or more years of experience successfully architecting technical solutions and leading and supporting complex capture pursuits and proposals
  • Experience developing and shaping solutions and cost strategies around providing Managed IT Services.
  • Experience working in one or more IT domains that may include software development, Agile/DevOps, Cloud, Cyber Security, Data Sciences
  • Experience with technical leadership and project management 
  • Ability to successfully lead solution development and Technical proposal volumes for large scale ($25 M+), highly strategic, and complex deals 
  • Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, growth-focused environment Ability to motivate teams to perform exceptionally over long stretches of time (during capture) and in challenging situations (during proposal development) Ability to effectively engage current and prospective customers to build trust and relationships, clearly communicate solutions and concepts, and influence action.
  • Ability to write exceptionally and to create compliant and compelling narrative that best presents Sevatec's solutions and approaches within the government's requirements and evaluation criteria
  • Ability to conceptualize and communicate or develop rich graphic visuals that help to strengthen the Sevatec’s story and clearly and effectively communicate concepts and approaches
