The remote System Administrator will function as a team member on a “virtual service desk/NOC” to proactively monitor and manage the DHS Homeland Security Information Network (HSIN). This team will complement the current O&M/Help Desk team by actively monitoring and managing the HSIN environment to facilitate the effective and efficient resolution of incidents and service requests.
HSIN is an AWS Cloud hosted, Web-based, Sensitive but Unclassified, IT system that provides Federal, State, Local, Tribal, Private Sector and International stakeholders with an effective and efficient system for timely information sharing, collaboration, decision making, and situational awareness. The System Administrator will be responsible for monitoring and administering servers/OS, LAN devices, and various applications that support collaboration and communication, such as secure conferencing/shared whiteboard, messaging, emailing, and document sharing. Must be available to be on-call and support special project needs.
