Overview

Sevatec is seeking Full Stack Developers who can provide full stack software development and DevOps services for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). The selected candidates will develop high quality business functionality and be responsible for ongoing operations and maintenance of the system in an engaging Agile environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and support Java software from identified business requirements in accordance with established standards
  • Employ a test-driven development approach, ensuring the development and usage of automated testing
  • Responsible for contributing to the development of user stories using Behavior Driven Development (BDD)
  • Actively participate in the Agile team operations, attending the daily stand up, being responsible for updating tasks in the Agile Lifecycle Management tool, and working with other team members in a collaborative, team driven manner
  • Support the deployment and monitoring of the code through the established pipeline into the AWS environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 3 years of Java software development experience or equivalent combination on education and experience
  • Experience with Agile development processes and procedures
  • Java 1.8, JBoss, and Hibernate
  • Agile Lifecycle Management tools, such as Jira and Confluence
  • Git and GitHub
  • Experience with continuous integration methodologies tools such as Jenkins, Chef, Gradle, etc.
  • Experience development in an Oracle or Postgress environment

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • AngularJS and Node JS
  • Docker
  • AWS operational experience

Security Clearance: Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a Government Agency clearance.
