Sevatec, Inc. is seeking a mid-level business analyst to assist in activities supporting a highly visible government client in Washington, DC.  The successful candidate will be familiar with the Agile application development methodology and have worked on an Agile project. 


  • Ability to bridge the gap between the end-user and the developer.  
  • Able to perform mid-level IT technical services and management tasks in a range of areas, with specialized expertise in multiple arenas, including system design, development, administration, operation and maintenance, quality of assurance of work products for correctness, adherence to the design concept and to user requirements, configuration management planning and implementation for data, documentations, hardware, software, security, and network systems.
  • Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
  • Utilize your experience in using enterprise-wide requirements definition and management systems and methodologies required.
  • Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Work independently with users to define concepts and under direction of project managers drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans.
  • Serves as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the software development team through which requirements flow.
  • Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
  • Be the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams.


  • Minimum B.S. in Management Information Systems, Business, or other related discipline.
  • 3+ years of applicable experience
  • Excellent communication skills (ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience).
  • Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Develop requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language.
  • Ability to independently write and execute test cases and perform in-depth system integration testing.

Security Clearance:  Ability to obtain and maintain a Government security clearance. US Citizenship a must.
