Sevatec, Inc. is looking for a talented Project Scheduler who is energetic and eager to grow in the Project Management arena. This mid-level Project Scheduler will be part of a dynamic team supporting a highly visible federal contract. Selected candidate must have experience in federal government project management scheduling, budgeting, and Earned Value Management. Candidate is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of technical efforts, projects, and activities by coordinating programmatic information and providing logistical support for activities within the program. Candidate works closely with members of the Program Management Office (Federal and Program) to ensure close coordination on the various task area activities of the program. This is a Part-time position that will require 20 to 25 hours a week.


  • Candidate will be the Project Scheduler, assisting the project manager in managing detailed schedules.
  • Candidate must have demonstrated experience in creating schedules, reviewing schedules with project stakeholders, gathering and detailing activity and progress updates from team leads and resources, baselines, and other schedule management processes, ability to communicate findings and propose solutions.
  • Candidate must be willing to follow standardized processes, templates, and policies but also be a leader in developing new processes, reports, and analysis for team consumption. 
  • Work with developmental and operational teams to develop detailed schedules and assists in keeping these schedules current.
  • Coordinate with project managers, business analysts, developers, testers, and others to ensure best practices are understood and followed.
  • Produce schedules at the appropriate levels of detail for management review as well as resource assignment communication. 
  • Perform QA on scheduled project management tasks, including monitoring project progress using Microsoft Project Server 2013.
  • Collaborate with Task leads to track milestones and project progress against deadlines to communicate delay information efficiently.
  • Maintain project baseline changes, monitor deliverables, conduct reviews, analyze project expenditures, and manage incorporation of quality management for the program.
  • Create and maintain a Microsoft (MS) Project Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) using MS Project Server 2013
  • Produce Metrics Tools: Microsoft Project Professional 2010 required, 2013 preferred. Microsoft Enterprise Server and Project Web Access preferred, with experience in reporting from PWA and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong, professional communication skills; both verbal and written.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment.


  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • 4-6 years’ experience preparing and/or maintaining individual project schedules for IT programs with 2 years’ experience supporting large scale, multi-disciplined IT programs and Integrated Master Schedule development and maintenance. Experience must include resource loading/balancing and activity dependency techniques, dynamic scheduling in IT environment/industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in using Microsoft Project Professional 2010/ MS Project Server 2013 preferred
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management principles preferred.


Security Clearance:  Must be a Green Card holder or US Citizen and capable of obtaining a Government Agency Public Trust.
