Sevatec, Inc., a high-technology services firm specializing in Agile, data sciences, cyber engineering, and cloud solutions, has an immediate need for an experienced, hands-on senior operations professional to lead the firm’s Federal Civilian portfolio. This position has P&L responsibility across multiple agencies, technologies and program managers and is accountable for ensuring the team’s operational performance achieves all stakeholders’ expectations. Additionally, as a key member of the senior management team, this position will contribute to the company’s aggressive growth goals through both strategic and tactical initiatives. This position is located at our Fairfax, Virginia headquarters and reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer.      



  • Lead by example and foster the company's "Inspired to Serve" culture across all customer and company engagements.
  • Accountable for all operational performance parameters of the portfolio (e.g. contractual, management, resourcing, technical, financial, risk, etc.) within established contract compliance requirements and quality standards. Provide hands-on surge support to individual programs, as required.
  • Build and maintain effective client, partner, and vendor relationships. Implement a customer care plan to ensure a high level of satisfaction with all clients.
  • Proactively identify issues and opportunities; engage resources appropriately. Serve as the main point of resolution beyond the program manager for any business issues that arise.
  • Engage with the program managers and clients to identify viable innovations, including the application of Agile methodologies, which advance the customer’s mission objectives.
  • Develop a high performing team by setting clear expectations of accountability and expected results. Mentor and develop employees with proactive feedback on individual and team performances.
  • Work closely with clients and colleagues to identify opportunities to provide new value-added services to better achieve the client's mission.
  • Establish and manage to program and indirect budget targets.
  • Facilitate cross-functional cooperation and promote collaboration through the corporation to achieve the firm’s short-term and long-term goals.
  • Identify corporate process improvement initiatives to enhance operational delivery and effectiveness.
  • Support overall corporate growth efforts including strategic business planning, capture management initiatives and proposal development/pricing to expand the company’s market presence.



  • Proven experience profitably managing and growing a portfolio at the executive level in the government contracting environment.
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management or related field; technical backgrounds will be considered favorably.
  • Minimum of 15 years of management level experience.
  • Experience developing strategic plans to innovatively execute customer missions while cost-effectively managing risk. Must have the expertise across operational and technical areas to assess scope of work and formulate accurate work plans, cost and schedule models.
  • Self-starting, collaborative and involved team player with a demonstrated sense of urgency to responsibly and decisively solve problems.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills necessary to engage and negotiate with senior level customers, colleagues, partners and board of directors.
  • Demonstrated experience contributing to winning business development results.


Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Master degree preferred.
  • Recent experience with DOC, DOT and HHS will be considered favorably.

Security Clearance: Must be a US Citizen and eligible for a Top-Secret security clearance.
