We are seeking a Cyber Solutions Architect within our Chief Technology Officer’s Innovation Team to serve as the corporate thought leader across our cyber technology area.  Sevatec’s Cyber Solutions Architect will play an integral role in executing our strategic plan in all areas of cyber across organic growth, operational delivery and technology advancement.

 

With organic growth, you will have a leadership role working with Business Development and Operations in developing technology roadmaps, intellectual property investment strategies and complex technical responses to customer requirements, resulting in innovative and winning solutions for Sevatec’s federal clients. 

In Operations, you will directly support project start-ups, critical executions and implement innovative solutions to advance our customer’s mission. While on contract, the Solutions Architect mentors key staff and helps transfer knowledge of new technologies across the company’s portfolio of programs.

 

Technology advancement consists of institutionalizing that program knowledge within the firm, developing discriminating intellectual property, maintaining communities of cyber subject matter experts (SME), creating training materials to ensure consistent proficiency throughout the company and projecting Sevatec’s thought leadership within the technology community through speaking engagements and social media.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Coordinate with Capture and Proposal Managers to create proposal strategies for developing discriminating win themes to address customers’ business challenges throughout the business development lifecycle to include sources sought, requests for information and proposal responses.
  • Identify and manage SMEs, technical writers and consultants to address the requirements, instructions, and evaluation criteria set forth by the solicitation and in Sevatec’s requirements-driven outline.
  • Research, create and review information in support of management approaches, technical approaches, and past performance volumes.
  • Own the complex security technical solutions, Integrated Master Schedules and Work Breakdown Structure during the proposal lifecycle and serve as the lead technical author in creating winning solutions, inclusive of color team reviews.
  • Interface with illustrators to conceptualize graphics, figures, tables and other presentation techniques to optimize the presentation of information.
  • Lead the development of proposal demos, briefings and oral presentations which illustrate Sevatec’s technical depth and innovations in the areas of the cyber domain.
  • Support the overarching pricing strategy, formation of staffing plans and development of the basis of estimates that align to the technical and management approaches.
  • Works closely with functional area architects and security specialists to evaluate and develop security solutions are in place throughout all delivered IT systems and platforms, based on approved security architectures, to mitigate identified emerging security threats, vulnerabilities and risks sufficiently, and to meet business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify cyber metrics to baseline program performance and identify improvement results.
  • Assist project teams in establishing and improving cyber security hygiene and serve as the SME in resolving difficult technical issues; communicate methodologies used and results achieve in key meetings with customers.
  • Support Cyber innovation regarding Agile, DevOps, and Cloud.
  • Research, design and advocate new technologies, architectures and security products for federal customers; create prototypes and proof-of-concepts and training materials.
  • Maintaining communities of cyber security SMEs.
  • Project thought leadership within the technology community through speaking engagements and social media.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or similar preferred.
  • Must have 10+ years of experience with 5+ years of recent experience as a solution architect and technical proposal leader on multiple opportunities ranging from $10M - $250M.
  • More than 5 years of relevant cyber security experience with proficiency in ICAM, SOC, data protection, Penetration Testing and related security disciplines.
  • Demonstrated ability to grasp new concepts, develop solutions from loosely defined business problems by leveraging emerging cyber security technologies and write about complex subject matter.
  • Extensive experience with a broad range of security tools such as IPS, firewall, VPN, vulnerability management, patch compliance, web filters/proxies, and log collection/analysis.
  • Expertise with open source tools and commercial tools for implementing and testing security infrastructures (e.g. Splunk, ArcSight, ForgeRock, ThreatMetrix, FireEye, Tenable, LookingGlass, etc.).
  • Must demonstrate expertise in building, delivering, and managing the security aspects of hybrid cloud computing platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure).
  • Knowledge of FedRAMP, ATO, and the implications of C&A.
  • Professional security management certification, such as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or other similar credentials, is desired. Formal training in a relevant enterprise architecture methodology (such as the Zachman Framework or TOGAF).
  • Must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to both work independently and function effectively as a member of a team with a diverse range of skills, experience, and personalities.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills, handling multiple simultaneous projects with stringent deadlines.
