Overview

Sevatec, Inc. is seeking a talented Instructional Systems Designer (ISD) to add to their dynamic team supporting a Federal Government contract. The ISD assists a Federal Training Program Manager (TPM) and Program Office SME's with developing and delivering courses through the assessment of existing National Highway Institute (NHI) Training course materials and training curriculum. The ISD will conduct Needs Assessment activities on new and existing NHI courses and project manage the development work as performed and submitted by NHI vendors. The ISD will analyze training materials for compliance with NHI standards, sound Instructional Systems Design methods and principles of adult learning theory. 

Responsibilities

  • As part of the Sevatec-ISD team, identify NHI course materials that need revision and recommend appropriate remedial action.
  • Maintain status of course developments, updates and deliverires across a portfolio of courses within a variety of transportation disciplines
  • Develop, coordinate, and deliver weekly and or monthly reports as requested by the Training Program Manager. These could include status reports for course developments as well as other reports related to contract delivery.
  • Organize and facilitate team sessions, milestone meetings for training development (progress reviews, technical walk through, pilots, etc.).
  • Organize, plan, and lead the development and delivery of synchronous training events through platforms such as Adobe Connect.
  • Create and maintain training resources on the Client Web site for use by development and delivery vendors.
  • Provide tier 2 customer service support and respond to assigned customer inquiries.
  • Attend course pilots and facilitate post delivery/feedback meetings.
  • Conduct field observations of courses to determine updates needed.
  • Help support other ISDs on the team as needed.
  • Develop in-house training components upon request.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years professional experience in instructional systems design including developing and implementing standard ISD processes developing in multiple delivery types (synchronous and asynchronous, and web-based or in person).
  • Strong writing and proofreading skills.
  • At least 60 hours of relevant professional education in the last three years.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Connect and Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Proficiency and advanced skills in Adobe Presenter and Adobe Captivate.

Security Clearance:  Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident and able to obtain a Government Agency Public Trust.
