    Sevatec, Inc. is seeking a Mid-Level Security Tools Engineer to provide technical expertise and leadership to a team fulfilling multiple security operational and program management support tasks for U.S Citizenship and Immigration Services. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on capabilities with technologies such as intrusion prevention and security event analysis as well as experience with security architecture review and design. 

     

    Responsibilities

    • Operational experience with a broad range of security tools such as IPS, firewall, VPN, vulnerability management, patch compliance, web filters/proxies, and log collection/analysis.
    • Oversee the hardening, monitoring, and maintenance of security components to provide protection against malicious external threats
    • Forward thinking for development of technical, procedural, and strategic solutions.
    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage technical projects and to mentor other security engineers and analysts and other infrastructure related devices

    Qualifications

    • Shall have a minimum of 5 years of experience in IT security, and 3 years of specialized experience in implementing enterprise security products and solutions
    • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management or Engineering, or other comparable degree or experience, which must be approved in advance by a Government Program Manager
    • Have prior experience leading the deployment and operation of vulnerability assessment tools, such as Tenable Security Center or Beyond Trust Retina to a large enterprise
    • Have prior experience leading the deployment and operations of a large, complex, McAfee Endpoint security installation at a large enterprise

     Security Clearance:  Must be a US Citizen and able to attain a Government  Agency clearance.
