    Sevatec is looking for a talented Project Manager to support a large DoD healthcare IT program, providing strategic communications, thought leadership, project management, and expertise in supporting the management of a joint program office for the Department of Defense and Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The project requires comprehensive deployment, logistics, sustainment, and capability transition management support to assist Government leads to plan and execute deployment, training, and transition to sustainment activities. The ideal candidate will have a track record of successfully leading teams using industry best practices in project management. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be a seasoned, mature and organizationally savvy leader with a broad understanding of technology's impact.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage and support business operations and oversee and support all aspects of projects
    • Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress of project
    • Prepare reports and other public facing deliverables for upper management, senior stakeholders, and Congress regarding project status and major milestones
    • Review, analyze and evaluate client and business needs, document requirements, and translate into proper system requirement specifications.
    • Use industry best-practices in project management concepts, practices, and procedures to plan and execute tasks
    • Lead and direct the work of others
    • Develop and maintains strong client relationships through interactions with client key personnel
    • Work collaboratively with clients to assess needs, provide assistance, resolve issues, and manage and meet expectations
    • Utilize extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals with a wide degree of creativity and latitude expected

    Qualifications

    • 10+ years of overall experience in a related professional work environment
    • 3+ years of working within a DoD Program Executive Office (PEO) or Program Management Office (PMO)
    • Experience with producing client-ready deliverables and managing enterprise-level projects, particularly in support of strategic communications
    • Ability to conduct comprehensive data gathering and analysis, provide qualitative and quantitative statistical data analysis techniques for metrics and risk analysis, and present ideas clearly, logically, and persuasively in oral and written forms
    • Ability to lead and work in a team environment, coordinating tasks with senior client supervisors
    • Must possess superior written and oral communication skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
    • Experience with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within project management
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
    • Master's degree (can substitute Bachelor's degree and 14 years of overall experienc

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Congressional experience or familiarity with legislation focused on defense and veterans policy
    • Experience working in an Acquisition Category (ACAT) 1 program office
    • Experience with the Military Health System and VA
    • PMP Certification or equivalent

    Security Clearance: Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a Government Agency background check
