    Sevatec is looking for a Meeting/Event Planner to support a large DoD healthcare IT program. The program supports two Department of Defense (DoD) Acquisition Category (ACAT) IAM Major Automated Information System (MAIS) healthcare Information Technology (IT) programs. The program office’s goal is to maintain eleven legacy healthcare information technology products that together make up the current DoD operational medicine Electronic Health Record (EHR) system while developing a new modernized EHR system to support Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen in operational medicine environments around the globe. The Meeting/Event Planner will support a variety of office management duties to include planning meetings and special events, assisting with coordination and scheduling of calendars, and conducting other administrative duties in a key program office.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for office management of the business operations team
    • Plans meetings and a multitude of events for a large 100+ person office
    • Assists with coordination and scheduling of calendars, schedules, and travel
    • Plans and schedules meetings and teleconferences while managing multiple Microsoft Outlook calendars, including meeting creation and calendar invites
    • Prepares and coordinates documents, briefs, and reports using MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Manages travel itineraries
    • Performs a variety of tasks working with financial, manpower, and facilities personnel primarily, but also project managers and engineers
    • Works under general supervision and reports to a supervisor or manager

     

    Qualifications

    • Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in area of specialty and 2-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area
    • Requires strong phone and email coordination skills; works well in a collaborative environment with a variety of military and government medical and IT personnel
    • Must be highly self-motivated, professional, and capable of managing own workload and prioritizing and working multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
    • Must be proficient in MS Office
    • Must be willing to work in a high-paced, dynamic environment
    • Requires a certain degree of creativity and latitude

     

    Additional Desired Qualifications:

    • DoD experience or military service including acquisition, project management, and/or health IT
    • Ability to organize and store team content in knowledge management systems that include Local Area Network and Sharepoint
    • Provide project task management (Identify, track status, report, and closeout)
    • Experience preparing reports for management regarding project status
    • Defense Travel System (DTS) experience

     

    Security Clearance: Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a Government Agency background check (DoD Secret meets this requirement)
