    Sevatec, Inc. is seeking a Splunk Engineer with the ability to design, develop, recommend, and implement the Splunk security platform and Splunk modules. The Mid-level Splunk Engineer will provide configuration and technical support for client engagements and contribute in the strategic design process and must have the ability translate security and business requirements into technical designs. 

    Responsibilities

    •  Knowledge of Splunk search language
    • Support efforts in designing, developing, testing, troubleshooting, deploying and maintaining Splunk solutions, reporting, alerting and dashboards
    • Support Splunk on Linux and Windows
    • Knowledge of a tier Splunk installation; indexers, forwarders, search heads, clusters
    • Familiar with Splunk architecture and best practices
    • Standardize Splunk deployment, configuration and maintenance across platforms
    • Create dashboards, reports and threshold alerting mechanisms
    • Create data retention policies and perform index administration, maintenance and optimization
    • Comfortable working for a dynamic technical organization with a large client base

    Qualifications

    • A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT security, administration and/or operations, and 2 years of specialized experience deploying and operating large, enterprise-wide Splunk clusters.
    • A minimum of 2 years of Linux systems administration experience
    • At least 2 years prior experience operating a mid-size Splunk cluster or one years’ experience and Splunk certification

    Security Clearance: Must be a US Citizen and able to attain a Government Agency clearance.
