    Sevatec, Inc. is looking for a talented Technical Architect, Subject Matter Expert (SME) to add to their dynamic team to participate in a team oriented evaluation of systems and architectural roadmaps for enterprise wise platforms utilized by the federal government. The role will be responsible for evaluating the specifications, designs, construction, testing and support of large, enterprise level systems. Recommendations focused on systems architecture focused on identifying efficiency opportunities, architecture improvements and provide expertise in solution design leveraging best of breed technologies and processes are essential elements of this role. 


    • Develops technical solutions to meet a wide range of business needs.
    • Evaluates technical trends and provides recommendations for technology and architecture to meet business objectives.
    • Prepares cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses for management decision-making purposes.
    • Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results.
    • Leads the requirements, design, development, testing, implementation, and documentation of new software and enhancements of existing applications.
    • Works with program managers, project managers, developers, and end users to ensure application designs meet business requirements, and delivers capability using agile methodologies.
    • Formulates/defines specifications for complex operating software programming applications and modifies/maintains complex existing applications using engineering releases and utilities from the manufacturer.
    • Leads all phases of software systems programming of new applications and enhancing, correcting, refreshing, and modifying existing software applications.
    • Designs enhanced process flows focused on Agile methodologies and automation.
    • Contributes SME support for the design, implementation, testing, deployment and support of operational solutions.
    • Assesses manpower requirements to meet technical objectives.
    • Drive automation and Agile practices across a portfolio of projects to increase velocity.
    • Collaborate with team members to develop high level and detailed recommendations on system, resource, financial, and schedule planning activities.


    • Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of experience in the Technology sector
    • Experience leading technical solutions for a large scale and complex program involving multiple technologies.
    • Delivery of Agile application development, software maintenance and enhancements solutions to federal government agencies.
    • Experience with project portfolios and environments using technologies such as: .NET, Java, VMWare, Jenkins, TFS and Oracle databases.
    • Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
    • Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) and RDBMS structures and concepts.

    Desired Skills/Experience:

    • Experience working with the Department of Homeland Security.
    • Active DHS suitability.
    • Experience working in a DevOps environment.
    • Experience transitioning a program to an Agile methodology.
    • Agile certification(s) such as Certified Scrum Master.
    • Experience with Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure cloud hosting platforms.
    • Experience working with Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostGreSQL
    • Experience working with Java, SOAP, Webservices, JavaScript, Angular
