    Sevatec, Inc. is looking for  for a security engineer to be a member of a team responsible for the security and integrity of customer enterprise systems. The Senior Security Engineer assists clients with their information security programs and project initiatives by undertaking risk assessments, advising on implementation of security measures, recommending appropriate risk mitigations, performing penetration testing, ethical hacking, vulnerability assessments, web application assessments, reverse engineering, social engineering and standards in the context of projects and business scenarios to help the business operate securely. This role has a significant component in defining security requirements and ensuring that all projects meet these requirements, or that exceptions and issues are noted and remediated as appropriate. Excel at providing comprehensive secure network design, systems analysis, and full lifecycle project management.


    • Engineer adaptive solutions for enterprise security requirements.
    • Perform Vulnerability Assessments, Penetration Test, Ethical Hacking, Firewall Assessment’s, Social Engineering engagements
    • Design system security architecture and develop detailed security designs
    • Engineer, implement and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks and information
    • Identify security vulnerabilities and compromised systems, and alert required personnel to address problems immediately.
    • Monitor security controls, analyze data, and correlate events to identify possible intrusions.
    • Develop technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks
    • Develop, enforce, update and communicate security policy. Ensure that the policy is up to date with evolving security requirements. Work with other members throughout the organization to compliance to company policies.
    • Evaluate the need for and effectiveness of new security technologies in conjunction with the senior engineers/analysts. Interact with vendors and outside service providers.
    • Conduct information system security engineering analysis on a variety of information processing systems.
    • Assess existing controls to determine level of security, inclusive of: their maturity, state of compliance, and their level of protection.
    • Participate in the development and implementation of the enterprise security architecture and supporting security standards to ensure compliance with corporate policies, and relevant legislative and regulatory requirements
    • Perform other duties as assigned.


    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
    • 7 years of experience in information technology required and at least 5 years in cybersecurity preferred
    • Security+, Network+, Certified Ethical Hacker or other equivalent industry certification
    • Experience with performing cyber security assessments and familiarity with industry cyber security tools or experience auditing systems
    • Experience of security hardening techniques and policy development, particularly with regards to secure software development methodologies and process
    • Previous experience in compliance programs including pre-assessment or assessment and gap remediation programs
    • Working knowledge of information systems security standards and practices (e.g., access control and system hardening, system audit and log file monitoring, security policies, and incident handling)
    • Proven working experience in building and maintaining security systems
    • Hands on experience in security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, content filtering, etc
    • Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols
    • Ability to interpret information security data and processes to identify potential compliance issues
    • Ability to quickly understand security systems in order to identify and validate security requirements
    • Ability to effectively work as both a member of a team and independently with little to no assistance or supervision
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
    • Familiarity with Information Security industry standards/best practices and relevant regulations is desired.

    Security Clearance:  Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a Government Agency Clearance.
